This is a tough one without more info.

If you're actually offending them and this is how they retaliate then stop whatever it is you're doing and try something else. You're probably over-negging in which case you should remember that negs should not be offensive, they should merely demonstrate a lack of interest (prefferably in a fun way).

If it's playful banter however (as I hope it is) then just keep it up! If I were called a jerk I'd probably respond with something cocky like 'You'd better watch that potty-mouth, you're really ruining your chances with me'.

The important thing is to remember not to take it offensively and just come back with a fun response and a smile.

u can be the jerk, and some girls dig it as long as you can kino and be that "badboy"type

or

u can put a smile on your face and be playful telling them u are joking and just use a lot of expression so u dont look like an asshole, u seem like the funny guy

I would say teasing is the word, not negging. Negging is not done playfully. Teasing is.

Then again the meaning of the term 'neg' a been grossly morphed over the years through out the community.
