tuesday: im in the library and say hello to a guy sitting across from me. we talk and chat for an hour before departing to our class. he asked me if im always sitting at that same area in the library. i told him yes. he said see you around on thursday.

thursday comes along and im in the library waiting for 45 mins. he doesn't show up. why didnt he show up? i thought we had a connection when we met...i mean he stuck around for an hour to talk to me... so when i see him next what should i say?

My opinion, don't say anything in regards to waiting there for him. It may have been a flat out bait and switch to see if you would actually go even if he didn't show up.

If he brings it up just brush it off.

Just jump to getting a date or a drink.

The reason for this is that stating that you where waiting for him will give him the upper hand and maybe make you seem a bit desperate.

Move forward never back.

I'd like to see what some of the vets say too.

1st off... if he asked you if you would be in the same are of the library... you should of just given him your number.. its like a cue..

and for the part of him not showing up... you dint give him your number and maybe he thought you where just being nice and didnt want to say no, or maybe he has a life and had other things to do..

A thing to remember is that not every guy out here is like guys up here. Some of them are scared little rabbits who are afraid of doing ANYTHING. He probably he had the guts to actually come up and say hi to you. . . getting a number, or even coming back may have slipped his mind. . . or have him scared shitless. Sometimes you have to be the cool confident one. . . "why dont you ask me for my number?" when asking if he was going to be there again. "I usually am, but if I can guarantee you'll be here, I'd have a little better motivation" stuff that REALLY shows you're interested, but not in a way that makes you come off as desperate.

Also. . . KN, good thoughts on the book.
