i hav posted 29 posts and hav a reputation of 2.9, does it just go up with ever single one of your posts?

if so how come some people have like 6 posts and yet like 10.5 reputation points...

?

It goes up when you write a post but people can also give each other rep points if they think that someone has posted something good. It is a way of measuring how much experience the guy who writes has. (Or girl, sorry FPUAs.)

In other words it may help you judge how much you should believe someone. Or not...

if their rep is higher than 1/10 their posts, then someone gave them points.

idk where i stand on that...i know i gave some points away before to 870 cause he's brilliant

Well, it is a problem. Not everyone who has high scores are brilliant and not everyone who is brilliant have high scores. But so far its the best we got.

currently the peopel that have PMZ access don't have anything special on their name so that can't even be used to determine who's earned it.

PMZ access?
PMZ is that private area at the top of the forums.

technically you can pay your way in, but also if 3 mods vote for you you can get it for free.
