I've been lurking here for the last 6 months and this is my first post. Im in college and Im throwing a party in may apartment on Saturday. My apartment is unfurnished so there's a lot of room. The parties that I go to there is always some sort of dancing going on w/ beer pong in the background. Anyways im throwing a highliter party on Saturday and I was wondering if you guys had any ideas to make the night more interesting. I'm looking forward to this and i'm sure its going to be a lot of fun. only thing i know i will be doing for sure is drawing boobs on top of girls boobs. Im sure its going to get packed and there will be plenty of girls to meet. Im also planning to pick up a bunch of silly string for a big silly string fight.

So any ideas on how to throw a great party and/or have a lot of fun? i've never thrown a party before.

Well in my experience you don't want to alienate your apartment neighbors. Invite them, or let them know you're having a party.
Another thing to make sure you keep up on is alcohol levels. I prefer kegs, just because it's rare to finish one off in a night, and plus kegs really spell party.
Thirdly, if it's a "highlighter/blacklight party", I would consider replacing the front room or kitchen bulbs with black-light bulbs. Most of the time you can buy those at big convenience stores. Tell your guests to wear black-and white maybe to make things more dynamic looking.
Hopefully you have something that plays music, because partys have to have good tunes.

Its not rare to finish off a keg in a night, hell I've had parties where we got 3 kegs (charged at the door) and finished 2 off. Keg stands and other stupid shit really adds up, not to mention the pitchers being filled for beer pong. This is why I don't recommend kegs unless you are charging at the door, tell everyone to byob.

I've only had one highlighter party, but every party we have is a blacklight party (basement has a room for it). Make sure you have real black lights, not the shitty purple lights that screw into sockets. Also, tell everyone to wear white. Its the best color for highlighter to show up on. You would think black would be good but it doesn't work well at all. Play good music, and make sure your neighbors know. Unless you live in campus apartments, neighbors can be a real bitch. Have a good time, and don't be afraid to use kino. Nothings easier than walking up to a girl and writing on her shirt. Write on their backs, that way they won't know what you wrote and will be thinking about it until someone tells them.

you're getting blacklights, you might as well go all out. see if you can find some of that invisible body paint that ravers use, and when the blacklights come on it'll light up. It would definitely be sweet, and people would definitely be talking about it.
