So my friend asked me if her friend could crash at my place tomorrow night. She's from a different country, and will pretty obviously only be around for the one night. She's pretty cute though, so hey, maybe there's a chance to turn it into a great night!

I was wondering if anyone has experience with something like this, or any suggestions on how to lead things in that direction (should we stay in, maybe have some wine, hang out, or go somewhere for the night and come back and crash). Presumably she will be pretty uneasy staying in a strangers house, so if I am trying to make a move, I think it will be important to build comfort first and foremost.

Any thoughts? Is this even something worth pursuing?

since she's from a foreign country i doubt she wants to stay in. Take her out, show her around, have fun.

Key is to make her feel comfortable. Take her out, and everything you do for the first little bit is to make her comfortable, then make a move a or two and see how she reacts. Worse comes to worse she'll be out of your hair in a day.

Go out for some drinks - but don't stay at one place, bounce from place to place.

Let her know after the first drink that you're going to be her tour guide and take her to another place. Wind up at a club with dancing and dance with her. See if she's into it - if so then it's probably on.
