whats the best way to look at someone when passing by? went to do the newbie mission at the mall today but felt kinda awkward with the glances? I ended up just kinda looking to the side, pretending I was checking out stores or what not before getting close and pretending like i had only just noticed them.

if you make eye contact from a distance of say like 20 feet, too far to say hi, you dont want to stare at them obviously. but i feel like staring straight ahead until they get cloer before trying to regain eye contact can come off as kinda creepy.

anyone else get me/any suggestions?

I look straight at their eyes if picking them up for newbie mission I would be a little more like looking forward then at around 20 ft be like excuse me (loud enough for them to hear whilst holding eye contact) the do what you wanna do.

At the early stages I would say walk around and hold eye contact till they break it, its a weird thing when a stunning girl hold eye contact and smiles at you. So yar don't be afraid of eye contact it is probably about 80% of my game

yeah the whole 20ft thing is right. i mean its hard to tell when its 20ft haha. but you kind just gotta feet it. then look her in the eye furthest from you so you are looking across her whole face but not in a weird crosseyed way lol.
then just smile. girls with confidence smile back. the ones without look away.
and like jaybot said, break eye contact when they break.

im not too fond of the whole excuse me idea though cuz if uve ever walked through a college campus or the mall and there are surveyors there, everyone tries to avoid them. using excuse me is kind of like, trying way too hard get their attention.

i practice my smile (yeah self absorbed..lol kidding) but i do that so i can get down a playful welcoming smile and when shes real close to a good conversation distance i say "hi, i have a question...(or any other opener)"

Yeah I lock in, smile and hold it until they look away. Those feelings you have about looking away or pretending to be distracted with something else is what every single other guy feels and does. You want yourself to stand out. Guys who can maintain eye contact with beautiful women is rare. It telegraphs to her that you are confident, and interested. Assuming you don't look like a psycho serial killer most women will find it as a compliment.

Is it an ioi if they keep staring at you? because i was with my cousin the other day and this girl passed by who kept starring at me i had that feeling of looking away but i could still tell that she was starring at me so my cousin says you should wink at her and see what she does just so we can have a laugh. So I turn toward her direction and when she looks at me again i look at her for like to 2 seconds then i wink at her, she just looks away and smiles and her face turned red and all while we were there everytime she would pass by she would just look at me was this an ioi? I didnt open her cus we had to leave soon but was she sending me iois?

Definitely, and next time USE THE TIME CONSTRAINT! I jsut picked this up and if a HB feels that she may lose this good lookin guy (obviously she found you attractive, or there was something on your face she was looking at ) then she'll be more open to letting you in sooner.

I usually don't bother with time constraints, in day game they are implied and at night I find them counter productive to my game. If she thinks she is going to lose me she will waste time making me stay, if she knows its on we can skip fomalities

The way I look at club game is no matter how sneaky and indirect you think you are going after about a minute it will be kinda obvious you are hitting on her. If she is still stood there you stand a chance just don't screw things up and you are fine.

I think it is counter productive to convince yourself that a girl you walk up to in a bar or club has no idea you are hitting on them
