So I met this girl online and we started talking on the phone and txting each other for about 2 weeks. It seemed like she was interested because she was asking me all type of relationship questions and so on. Only problem is she told me she wasnt looking for anyone and that she would want to be friends first before she starts to like someone that way.

So after the 2 weeks we met up and kicked it. She was just really quiet. I would try to make conversations and ask her questions but she would just reply and then nothing. I would have to start a new subject. After that day we would still text and so on. I told her I was starting to like her about a week of kicking it. She just said I should start to get to know her more before i can start liking her, but she said an attraction is good. We still talk and text each other. Basically I just dont want to land in that friend zone. How do i keep away from that? even though she said she wants to be friends first.

Reality check time. Everything she's been saying is complete horse shit. You can't start liking her until you get to know her better? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. She doesn't control your feelings so she can either like you back or go fuck herself. It seems to me that she's not interested in you in more than a platonic way and you shouldn't settle for any less than what you want. Tell her you want to date her and if she says no then kindly tell her you can't be just friends with someone you like in that way. That way, you'll be in control of what happens because she'll either chase after you and give you what you want or she'll leave you the hell alone and you just saved yourself having to be friends with a girl you aren't happy being just friends with. Yeah.
