So i met a girl saturday night and we decided to go out to lunch this week. called her last night to set up a time but didn't hear back from her. However, this afternoon a voicemail randomly shows up on my phone from her that was says it was left last night. Turns out I missed her call while I was on the metro (40 mins after I called her the first time) but it just didn't show up until today.

I don't want to appear super flaky so I am trying to decide between texting now and explaining why I didnt call back last night or just calling her after work tonight. My fear is that if I wait to call her tonight, she will have already ruled me out and whereas with texting I could explain the situation to her. The other option is just asking right now via text if she wants to do lunch tomorrow, since she said in her voicemail that she would be free for lunch that day. Thoughts?

text her and give her 2 options
1) pick the time
2) pick the place

i've used this a couple times-- 80% chance of picking time.

This way your conforming that theres a date tommorow without going out and saying it.
DONT explain yourself on what happened, just lowers your value.
