Ok so I've been reading a lot of this stuff for the past 6 months or so and I have managed to use some stuff like c&f or push/pull in conversation with girls, but I haven't ever cold approached and actually tried to pick up. That is my goal so I got style's book... the challenge one because I thought it would ease me in to approaching and picking up, but I've really been failing at it so far.

The first mission is to talk to 5 strangers. So I went to a mall and tried this but I thought I'd be better off trying to mix it with most newbie missions I've seen and talk to girls. But I never did; I just kept coming up with reasons not to and why it would be dumb even though I know all those belief shifts and the 3 second rule. Is that normal or is this really bad?

Also I'm on vacation sort of this week visiting some family but I have tons of free time so I thought I'd try some pu stuff. The problem is that I'm in this really small town in VA and the only place I can think of to go is the pool at this country club. Even then it may only be hot lifeguards. How would you go about approaching a lifeguard? THanks.
