Ok, so me & a mate of mine went to a local restaurant/take-out to grab some dinner last night. We walk in, and serving us is a chick I went to college with several years ago. She aint' bad either, I'd rate her an 8, minimum.

Anyway, I have a bit of a general chat with her (what u doing at uni, exams, bla bla bla), my mate orders his meal, then I grab mine. While talking I notice she seeming almost nervous, she was fidgeting with her hands quite a bit, in particular. Then she proceeds to discount my order by 50% (my friend paid full price ) , I finish the convo off and go take a seat.

We were in a bit of a hurry so we ate, I said thanks, and we left. What I'm wondering is whether she is interested. I'm pretty hopeless with reading girls (hence I'm here improving!) but even my numb female-interest sensors were going off, and the other guy I was eating with independently mentioned that he thought she was giving off some signs while talking to me.

What do you guys think? If there is some potential there, any suggestions on how to proceed?

By the way, I never showed any interest in this one during college. I was quite a different person back then, and it wouldn't have even crossed my mind to try and go for her. Could count the number of times I'd talked to her there.

The discounting your meal seems like a pretty big IOI. How you described her nervousness seems like it could be one of two things:
1. she was nervous because she likes/is interested in you.
2. She was nervous because she was not allowed/could potentially get in trouble for using her employee discount on you.

No other observed IOIs other then what I mentioned. She was behind a counter so I could only see from waist up really.

Good point Antithesis about the nervousness. Her dad owns the restaurant though, so I'm not sure what chances she'd have of getting fired!

I'm weighing up two options:

1. Pop in there casually again in a few days for meal, make more small talk & tell her she should join me for a coffee/drink or otherwise attempt to get her number.

2. I've got her on facebook so I could send her a message with something like the following in it:

"Hey HB8, tell your dad, or whoever the chef was last night, that they do a damn good hokkien noodle! I hope you've been learning to cook like that too

Cheers for the discount, I think I owe you a post-exam celebration drink now!"

I don't think she is a hb8 because she wuld be more comfortable with who she was more then likly...
Anyways she is hot to you .... now from the first post she is definitaly into you..

The discount was a big one like Antithesis said.
The fact that she was shaking fidity.... she was cold..
lol no but the fact that she was doing that proves that she was interested in you but didnt know what to do... she was inexperianced or not as hot as you think.... girl that get approched alot learn how to deal with guys.
