I think one of my huge approach problems is that I don't like lying... I don't think I'm very good at it and am worried I'll get busted on it... Is this something that I'm just going to have to learn deal with? I know women lie all the time, but it bugs me... It's one of my big hang ups with my sales job too... I know this is all about pick up, but I think that if I could learn to interact socially on a higher level I might be able to succeed in all areas of my life... can u be honest using hypothetical openers like what if your girlfriend did this or what if you got two dogs and... Or should I just learn to lie... and lie well... ?

Two points here, I never lie in an interaction (it usually bites you in the ass) but if you want to lie make the lie clear in your head, visualize it with real people.

Such as my girlfriend (Imagine an ex). ..... her dog (your dog) etc etc but yar lying is usually more trouble than its worth. Although being able to lie in an opener is a handy skill

PU is actually, in the end about being entirely honest.

but there is some aspect of "fake it, til you make it" in that, if there is nothing interesting about you now, lie a bit. But while lying, actually be TRYING to make your life into something you don't have to lie about.

If you have an amazing life you dont have to lie.

You might want to fake it until you make it. So, you tell stories about stuff you made up about your fake life... Isnt it easier to just make it?

And it is not difficult to make it. It just takes effort!

If you sit by your computer all day long nothing cool is gonna happen to you. If you want something good to happen you have to search for it. Go out there and make it happen. Boldly go where you have never gone before. Get a hobby where you expose yourself to the unknown. Go out sarging for starters.

Or you could just realize that telling a story is not lying. You know that Sleeping Beauty did not actually happen dont you? Is it lying to tell it to a child? No! Its just entertaining, comforting, being kind. The same is true for PU stories.

If you see it as a story you will have no problems telling it.
