purelee I used to say the same, and game in ripped jeans and tees and other things because they were all I could afford. But you have to admit the potential for looking good for cheap and how first impressions can be helped by looking well dressed. Money has nothing to do with it, I could spend a million on clothes that fitted badly and would look worse than someone that spent £2 on a plain white tee.
So yar grab well fitted clothes that look good on you, bare your location in mind (dress to blend, dress to stand out etc) more than anything buy what you are comfortable in and suit your style.
If your first impression is approaching someone and appearing confident, the clothes you wear won't matter.
As told by tyler durden: (not word for word, but the basic idea)
If you attract a girl and bring her back to your apartment - If you do everything right, you get laid.
If you attract THE SAME girl and bring her back to your mansion - If you do everything right....you get a kiss on a cheek because "She's not that kind of girl"
If a girl sees you're wealthy she's going to want to have a marriage relationship...and likely get dissatisfied and cheat on you in that relationship with a pool boy who's 19 and makes $7.00 an hour.
Welcome to life
Money does not matter. Brand clothing does not matter...I'm confident that if you PURPOSELY dressed like a COMPLETE dork...you wore a tucked in dress shirt with short sleeves. Put a pen in your pocket...gave your hair a part in the middle...put on some really thick frameless glasses...you could still pull girls...because they're gonna think you're funny and confident enough to walk around dressed like steve urkel and not care what people think
its all about attitude...
