What are the rules in regards to dating/befriending multiple women and dealing with all their feelings and crap? I mean, how do you keep everybody happy?

I'm a firm follower of the "leave them better than you found them" philosophy, but it seems impractical if you want to date multiple women because they all want exclusivity, don't they?

For those who can do this, are you just open about it to everyone? And if so, how open are you? I mean, surely you don't divulge all your personal business to everyone you meet, but on the other hand, if you want to start a sexual relationship with them, then your personal business kind of affects them if they want it to. Where do you draw the line?

its easier to deal with when all people involved know

you have to tell them

not all girls NEED exclusivity.

and you are leaving them better than you found them on your part, if they willingly continue being your MLTR, then that is on them.

Ahem Ahem.

All girls want exclusivity?

You poor misinformed soul...

Allow me to inform you.

Most girls want exclusivity, because they believe that monogamy=love. They're wrong. Very, very wrong.

How do you get girls into multiple relationships? A few steps for you.

Step 1: Arm yourself. Know your reasons for wanting MLTRs. Listen and read Savage Love, as Dan Savage is a God among sex-positivity. Books like The Myth of Monogamy might help you too.

Step 2: Arm the girls. Be honest with them. As soon as it seems like they're vying for ANY sort of relationship with you, let them know you're nonexclusive ONLY. Don't treat it as a maybe, treat it as a price of admission. Let them know your reasons for being nonmonogamous, let them know it can benefit them too. that last part is a must so I'll mention it again. The inexclusivity MUST go both ways. If you can have other people, so can she.

Step 3: Be prepared for a no. It happens, girls will say no to you. Expect it in fact.

Step 4: Next! Move on quickly and smoothly. don't cut the girl off, but let her know that monogamy is NOT an option. If she really has a problem with it, she'll be glad you're not pressuring her. If she doesn't, she just might give it a try.

So with that in mind, what ARE your reasons for wanting MLTRs?
Also, are you fully prepared to face the fact that she will be seeing other people too?
