I'm just back from a date with some girl from craigslist. Normally I fail at generating much attraction live, but I usually can at least keep her interested and the conversation flowing smoothly. This time, she had big "what the fuck am I even doing here" look on here face. Every time I managed to get her to laugh, or to get get talking about something she seemed to care about, she would be back to "oh god please end it quick" look in less than a minute.

For all I know it might have been a completely unsalvageable case, maybe her puppy drowned yesterday, or she was having a particularly nasty PMS or whatever other reason there might be for it.

But I think it was mostly lack of skill on my part. So PUA masters, what emergency routines do you use to get girl back on track when a few attempts already failed?

Also - she turned out to be way more attractive than her ugly photo suggested. That's quite unusual, right?

Sounds like you never read her body language from the get go. My number one rule on any date I go on or any girl I approach is to READ THEIR/HER BODY LANGUAGE. It will tell you the majority of what you need to know so you know what to do to get the girl interested.
It may have been salvageable I don't know, but it is also possible that it was unsalavagable due to her being a bitch or what have you. There are girls like that out there.

If the picture had bad lighting or the person that took it took a bad shot then it can happen. The opposite can happen as well as I had a girl look worse in person that she she in her photo.

I swear that some of you will drop dead of heart attacks or become crippled by strokes before you are 30. Sad.

But "interested" is not a permanent feature like height or eye color, it can change from minute to minute, and if I can get her back on track, something might come out of it, right?

If she was permanently not interested, obviously there would be no point, but assuming it was just something temporary, what ways could you use to give it a last chance?

if she's already thinking "why am i here?" then it doesn't matter what you do

I'm quite surprised by how all PUAs on the forum agree on not even trying. I expected you'd have a few tricks you'd try before giving up. Oh well, it doesn't really matter.

I suggest that think nothing when you are actually in the game, overthinking could lead you to nothing good; but be prepared before you start gaming.
Sometimes, the less you are trying hard to make a person laugh and just relax, you will just get more attention.
Just memorize routines and use them could never be a true PUA, you have to be natural and do things spontaneously.

Again, think nothing when you are actually in the game, approach immediately after you see her.
If you get a shit test that you are not sure how to answer, simply shrug will pass it.
If things are getting embarrassing, like you get refused by her when you want to kiss, simply make a joke and laugh at it will make the atomsphere more relaxing.

I would've been like, some examples:
1. Is something wrong? You have that look.
2. I'm going to call you (give her a nickname for what she is doing or acting like)! Because... (explain to why you gave her that nickname in a funny way)
3. Hey, look! I don't want to hangout with you if you're gonna act like this.

One--> you're going to find out why she's acting the way she's acting.
Two--> this will open her up if you gave her a funny reason why you gave her that nickname.
Three--> this put you in control and it let's her know your time is valuable and that she should be happy that you took your time to be with her.

If she doesn't change, you gotta be willing to walk away.
