Ive got this stuffed monkey at my place (long story as to why i have it) and a girl im kind of working on loves it, i dont see her very often, maybe once a month or less.
So when she comes over the first thing she goes for is this monkey, she cuddles it when we chill and plays about with it and with me, hits me with it etc you know the kinda thing i mean. So im wondering do i look nice and let her have it and in effect make her think of me every time she sees it or hugs it or do i keep hold of it as a kind of tool to fool around with her when shes at mine?

i say do it then if she has showed an interest in it. my general rule of thumb is to not give gifts until it is very well deserved. depends on the girl and the situation. then again im a newb so lets see what the others say.

my best example is when im in the club talking to a girl, if the flower guy walks buy and she IOI in the flowers then i may do it depending on how the night is going. that is my only exception otherwise i don't usually give them anything unless i feel it is getting serious enough to warrant it.

I seriously doubt the "reason" she fools around with you
is because of the monkey. Well, lets atleast hope not....

I don't see an upside for you to give her the monkey. She only wants it because it doesn't belong to her. If you give it to her it will just end up on a shelf somewhere. Seems like she would enjoy it more at your place and you get to keep the monkey.

P.S. The other posters are right. Giving gifts is usually a way for guys to try and gain approval from women, but what they don't realize is that this only makes them seem weak and needy. Avoid giving gifts to seem like a good guy, it doesn't work. Give gifts when a gift makes sense, IE Christmas, birthdays, valentines.

I say keep it, too! Girls love to cuddle with stuffed animals in the presence of guys. It's a way for her to look cute and flirt with you. If you aren't around the monkey doesn't mean as much. If she asks for it, hug it protectively and tell her to get her *own* monkey, then laugh.

Haha i like that bedroom wingman!! The monkey means nothing to me lol its a stuffed toy! I was just interested in your guys views on it. The only benefit i could see to giving it to her was if she thought of me when she saw it or hugged it as i dont see her that often, shes away at university. But now i do think its probably more valuable as a tool and she probably does like it more because its mine and not hers, its also a good conversation piece, she might text me asking how monkey is or i'll say that money has been moaning at me because he hasnt seen her and stuff like that so we can have a joke about it aswell.
