both myself and a mate have come across a sticking point

I saw a girl from work at an ice rink the other week we made eye contact she skated over to the side of the ice so I went over for a chat, back at work we had an email conversation then I got sidetracked and I didnt get time to reply then the next day she emailed me again asking if I wanted to go with her as it was the last day for the rink.. I couldnt cos I was working at another site that day so said over email maybe we should grab a drink or coffee and amongst other conversation.. her reply totally ignored my offer yet kept on chatting to me ?

second scenario my mate had been chatting to a girl a while ago and they said they would play squash.. it didnt happen but recently she helped him out and he said again over email how about coffee to say thank you and she ignored his offer and asked if he want to play squash ?

now can someone please explain if we are being blown out or what ??

yeah that used to happened to me last year before i found the community but those girls are in the past.. i used to say "blah, blah, blah yeah im good thanks blah, blah,hey do you want to go into town and catch a movie on friday??" they would reply "along the lines of "yeah im good aswell i just got back from work blah, blah.. how was ur day" and because i gave them the opportunity to answer a question it gave them the choice to ignore the question that really mattered and not feel bad for it either lol now when i get to that point when im gonna ask them on a date i just say "you gotta come to the rave in town its gonna be mean" its sort of indirect and it sort of like ..'hey if you dont come im not gonna cry, im still gonna go and probably meet a dozen new chicks there so if you want ur ins this is your only shot..' pretty weird way to do it but shit its worked for me more then the direct movie date..

next time i guess in your situation you chould say somthing like "im going to get lunch at this pretty good cafe down the street u should come down grab a bite with me today" maybe something a little indirect like this.. ive never asked a chick on a lunch date before so im not sure how this is gonna go down but only you know whats gonna work or fail in your situation so just go search for tips around and put together what you reckon would work best in your situation

ps. if she asked you if you wanted to go to the ice rink thats a pretty good IOI so she did show signs of interest same with ur mate with his squash date thing and if your mate says "i dont know eh... coz ill probably just kick your ass at squash" she'l want to face him.. itll work even better if shes a good squash player.. shes in for the game, hes in for the 'Game'

Chicks love stories . . . tell . . .no, DICTATE your stories . . .

Example:

"Do you want to have coffee with me on ____? " = is not a story but a sneaky way to ask her out on a date.

Tribal's method is much better:
This is a story about a mean rave and it'll be helluva time so you "gotta" go. . .This is a good story.

I usually like to take this one step further. For the case above, I would have begun with a story about a rave that already happened.

"Hey, a bunch of us went to this rave last weekend it was wild. Susan . . . do you know Susan? Anyway, she showed up with this hot pink dress and basketball shoes. what a nut! Remember Jim? That kid dances like he's doing kung fu . . .lol . . etc . . . " You dictate the story . . she laughs. . . she WISHES she was there. She wishes she's party of your FUN.

Now you go:
On another note, the "coffee" thing seems to be a part of every pick up manual/book out there. It's OK but it's boring . . .and depending on how old you are, it can be totally dorky.

My suggestion is to do a little "think-tank" session with your buddy to come up with ALL the fun things you could do with girls in your area. Write them all down. Now come up with your "set up" story like the one I wrote above. Then come up with your own question/statement like Tribal suggested.

I probably have at least 5 to 10 "fun things" (all with its own stories and date proposals) in a bunch of places . . in the last 5 years over 6 cities the World over. Once you do this enough, you'll figure out a few that will be very difficult for a girl to turn down . . .

never ask to go out for a drink..
drinking is equal to sitting and having a conversation. ( girls will think: having a drink means we have to talk and i aint got anything intresting to say)
ask them to do something together.. so squash is a good one..
you can have your drink after that..
