I figure that I'll read this forum to get and idea of this is all about. But does anyone have any reading suggestions that will help me get started?

Hey Track,

Hey man I personally think you should start with Neil Strauss "The Game" What it does is it give you an insight into how he did it and what he had to go through from beginning to end and his journey is similar if not the same to all of us. Plus its a good read.
