Alright, so I'm super new to this stuff. I had a little AA starting off..but today I took some strides to correct this. I opened a 2 set today, and a 1 set with a female sitting alone at school..I'm in college btw 1st year. I had good convo started up. I just kinda got lost as were to go there. The first set opened up with the "brush or floss first" I collaborated it with school by saying it was a discussion topic in class. The second I was about to use it again, but I kinda recognized the girl from high school so we went from there..I guess I'm jsut at a learning block or something..so I know it's all basics from here but any help is good help

you're off to a great start man. Keep leaving your comfort zone and once you've mastered the opening, try to work on transitions. A couple tips. if you string a couple one liners together, you sound rehearsed. if you string together a couple gimmicks or games (eg. palm reading, cube, etc.), you become a performing monkey. You probably want to vary your material and throw in a DHV story that you've rehearsed well and can relate to most conversation topics. It sounds like learning material is what you're working towards but if that doesn't work for you, try C/F which I find adds inside jokes, subtle negs, and fun to the conversation.
