Background Info

In a high school where social proof means nearly everything in getting the girl, I am always the one hearing about the crazy parties, but never the one who is experiencing them.
I have come to realize that my social circle isn't really a social circle; it is more of a social scatterplot.
Basically, I have a few best friends who all go to other schools than my own, so I don't usually hang out with more than 1 or 2 people at a time.
Because they all go to other schools, I don't get invited to my school's parties too often, and few other parties for that matter.
Lately, I've been trying really hard to hangout with the people who throw the parties at my school on the weekends, but I just can't break through.
I sit with a bunch of them at lunch and they accept and enjoy my company, but everytime I ask them what they are doin this weekend, they say somethin like 'Oh I'm not sure yet, probably just hanging out with ....', and not 'hey man, you should stop by or somethin...'
I then suggest that we should do somethin this weekend, but nothing ever ends up happening.
And then I normally hear about some crazy ass party that they all went to on the following Monday.
They have all been good friends since middle school or freshman year.
THE EXACT SAME DAMN THING happened to me last year with a different group, and we are still just acquaintances.

You need to take the initiative here. Throw something out there that everyone can do. Ask them to hang out. Use what ever you like to do in your area as an idea. Invite them to hang out with your good friends from other schools.... If you have the ability to throw a party, invite them to your party. You just can't sit back and wait for them to invite you out.
