What percentage of the first five minutes and A2 should be prescripted and memorized and how much should be freestyled? Also, I am have a little trouble with transitioning and getting to the hook point to where they will actually be talkative back. Any ideas?

dude. who cares?
some guys run virtually only scripted routines, others dont use any scripted routines at all... and then you have the guys who mix it up.
see what works for you.
ultimately, i feel your goal should be to get to the point where you can just freestyle... but thats obviously up to you.
during the opener and transition you'll need to do most of the talking, even in A2 as well. this means that you'll need to be interesting an dhv in order to grab her attention and make her willing to invest in you.
be funny.
be interesting.
dhv.
qualify.
tease.
and seeing as you're following MM, be somewhat disinterested... because you're not interested in her, right?
if she's not convinced that you'll add value to her life then she'll be very unlikely to invest in you. now, this doesnt mean that you have to try sell yourself like a TV (because that's what an AFC would do) but it does mean giving her obvious yet subtle reasons why you're better than the other 900 guys who've approached her that night.
