If you've read any of my post, you'll see that I've been trying to come up with original material.
I guess my question is this:
Should I be doing that?
According to alot of the stuff I've read, they recommend it, but they usually insinuate that you should do it later, and at first stick to canned material. The problem I'm having is I feel like a robot using canned openers, and I think the HB's pick up on.
Any suggestions?

I think the problem your having is that your memorizing the words itself and not the main idea. Try and make the canned material more structured, have points along that conversation to achieve. An example of this would be something along the lines of this.
For example lets say you use the jealous girlfriend routine:
-I'm out with my friends
-My friends been dating this girl for three months
-If you've been dating a guy for three months and hes friends with his ex how do you feel about that.
-Two part question, if he has pictures of past relationships in a box how do you feel about that.
-The reason I'm asking is because....

I'm my experience this has helped me achieve the opener and get the conversation rolling. Also using the bullet points for the opener makes you sound less like a robot.

Aside from all of that, its great that you've been trying to make your own original material, but let it come naturally.

its true that if u try something that doesn't fit u, it wont seem natural. ex: canned material. That's why some things work for someone but not for someone else.

Making ur own stuff is still an essential part of becoming a Pickup Artist. It's hard to be an Artist if u don't create right? if ur too afraid to use ur own material then u need more confidence in urself. Thats why its good that you're doing ur own stuff, doing it ur own way, cause doin it ur own way is what a girl will find attractive in you

I see it this way, cause I'm a musician:
Canned material = interpreting someone's songs
Using ur own material = writing ur own songs
Complete natural = complete freestyle

true PUA's are like Lil Wayne: they can create on the spot, no need for canned stuff (even though they may still use it) and it'll always come out good.
