Hey guys, i'm new to this. i've read a few posts the past week and tried my game out on this HB8 who i would consider an acquaintance that i've just recently started talking to a lil more.

I texted her (I'll call her Jen Jones for this purpose but not her real name) and this is how it went down...





ME: JEN!! What kind of trouble are you causing tonight? [6:57 pm]

jen: Lol absolutely none [6:58 pm]

ME: Well thats awfully disappointing. How come? [6:59 pm]

jen: No i just got done eating with (insert friend's name). What are you doing [7:03 pm]

ME: Babysitting :\ and then playin some football later. So i thought you could entertain me in the meantime [7:08 pm]

jen: Haha aw how sweet [7:08 pm]

ME: Its not my choice... So dont you dare label me as sensitive. hehe [7:11 pm]

jen: Hahaha thats actually exactly what i was tqalking about [7:12 pm]

ME: Yes i know. I know how you girls think. Dirty lil sluts. Haha jp [7:17 pm]

jen: (my name) lol. Jerk [7:18 pm]

ME: Ya so? What you gonna do about it? Punch me again? [7:19 pm] (she punched me early in the day in the stomach when we walked past, not that hard of course.)

jen: I just may do that. pshh [7:20 pm]

ME: You know, out of all the Jen Jones' i know, i think your my favorite [7:22 pm]

jen: Ha because im the only one loser [7:23 pm]

ME: Lol. You should stil be proud. Loser (<--- as soon as i sent this i felt like i was coming off too strong in too short of a period of time so i toned it down) [7:26 pm]

ME: So whats goin on with you guys tonight [7:29 pm]

jen: Hahaha proud that im the only jen jones? nothing really we are just sitting around [7:33 pm]

ME: Whos your friend? [7:35 pm]

jen: (insert friend's name)? [7:39 pm]

ME: yeah [7:41 pm]

jen: You know who she is. Sometimes she walks with me to my car. [7:42 pm]

ME: I don't think so. I only see (insert another girl's name) walking with you to your car [7:44 pm]

jen: Oh haha well shes not her [7:45 pm]

ME: Well i'm off to play football with some kiddos. See ya when i see ya (I really was going to play football.) [7:47 pm]

jen: Mmk dont break any bones [7:47 pm]

ME: Dont worry we dont hit as hard as you hit me today [7:50 pm]

jen: Lol shut up baby [7:50 pm]





I think I did decent, but i would really appreciate it if i could get any tips for what i did or didn't do, and what my next move should be from here.

Man thats a massive conversations to be having over text messages.
I dont think I could be fucked.
You seemed to have some pretty good banter going there, but does texting a chick that much come off as a bit needy? Is there anything wrong with actually calling her?
Im not sure thats why I'm asking.

im not sure but i dont think i came off as needy. i think that the time it takes to respond and what is being talked about can determine if a person is needy or not. if you properly space your time intervals between texts, then it will seem that you are busy but can get a text in every once in a while. (this conversation from first text to last texted lasted almost an hour and she was replying back faster than me)


but if i was trying to make plans with her, i would definitely prefer talking to her in person or calling her if necessary.

I thought It was good, no need to improve on anything. You noticed when you were getting a bit 'full on' then sorted it out.

The most important thing was o end the conversation instead of allowing her to do it, which you did.
