I know this might to sound repulsive to you, but when my friend told me about this industry, I did not intend on spending too much time and money on this area of my life. I just wanted it handled, and I didn't really aspire to be a super pick-up artist.

Well, recently, while reading some books and having my friend tell me about the books, I noticed that most of the books had some blurb about evolutionary biology, and a bunch of other, what to me seems philosophical jibber jabber and speculation on why their techniques work.

So I've wasted some time reading those things, and the techniques were still confusing.

My question to you guys is:

Is there a book that is more about solid techniques that is fluff-free, and easy to use? What do you guys recommend?

well I am going to recommend the game, is more like a novel that a manual, but if you press attention to what you read you would get a lot, other good book that i am reading right know is THE ART OF SEDUCTION, in all the chapters the author tell a brief story about a famous seducer that match with the tittle and the idea of that chapter, also he interpretate it and after that he gives the fundametal aspects or keys, of everything you need.
