Hey guys,

We all know not to tell a girl "I'm sorry" as it's taken as a sign of weakness. However, sometimes you know you did something and she does too, so what if you said "Hey, Mea Culpa" instead, which is an acknowledgement of your responsibility in said matter, but not the same as the weak and dreaded "I'm sorry" apology. Mea Culpa is latin for "yes I did that" or "yes, I was responsible" but it is not an apology.

I just suggest this as a possible alternative, as sometimes we do screw up and the girl is well aware that we screwed up. I think Mea Culpa is never having to say you're sorry.

What do you guys think?

I find this thing about losing value from an apology a bit overanalyzed. If you have done something wrong then apologize. The thing you should not do is apologize when you have not done anything wrong.

Thanks for that. I never felt like I was being weak for apologizing when I was at fault for something, but ever since coming here I've seen the act regarded as a MAJOR faux pas in numerous threads. As a PUA newbie, It gets confusing to read so many "established responses" considered to be wrong or incorrect, then proceed with that knowledge only to have IT refuted.

I think what most of the guys are talking about is when Afcs apologize when they have done nothing wrong. You probably don’t realize it, but if you actually listen to a normal guy talk, he apologizes for everything, especially things that don’t need apologies in the first place. Like if he’s five minutes late, he’ll apologize even though no one cares. Or he’ll apologize for his appearance even though he looks fine. He’ll apologize for calling too much, or not enough. These are the kind of apologies you should avoid, the pointless ones that really do make you seem weak.
