Hey guys,

I’d like to get a quick opinion on this cos I’m a bit unsure.

Imagine you’re meeting a girl for the first time or you’ve just met her and you're talking to her and your phone starts ringing or you get a text message do you answer it?

I’m thinking that in some ways ( if you do answer it ) it could be a neg, and it could also be a way of introducing a good DHV story. But I always feel a little awkward answering it front of a chick especially if its just me and her.

I usually answer it and say something to her like ‘Sorry, but I’ve really got to take this” and then walk away from her ( But if it can DHV then I stay within earshot )

What about when you’re on a second meeting? All the old, B-grade chick-flick movies say not to answer your phone –but after studying PU I’ve learnt not to take advice from those movies anymore What do you guys reckon? Is it acceptable these days or is it still rude?

I'm pretty new at this, but my trainig in Psyche would tell me that you should answer it on the first encounter, to neg a little bit. i don't really think it will matter what u say to her when u answer it, the msg will always be the same, "someone is more important to me than you". and on the second date, i probably wouldnt answer it, as its time to make a real/fake emotional connection.

I like my phone to ring then i make a point of looking at it and saying.

"yeah they can wait"

Or if it's really important i.e. DHV then I'll answer it and do it in front of her.

Irrespective of who I'm with. Or what date I'm on.

Being congruent is one of the biggest keys to attraction.

Cool. Thanks for your insights guys. I've been thinking about this a bit more and also considering what you guys said too -I guess its another one of those things that you've got to callibrate depending on each situation.
