I've got a few simple rules that i follow when i go out to game. Examples:

1. No more than 1 drink per hour... I've blown many an opportunity b/c i was so drunk i started saying what i was thinking

2. No gaming girls that i know already or have some relationship to... I think this just makes me more nervous, i just prefer approaching complete strangers.

3. Get in the game early... this is kind of like a "3 minute rule"... as soon as everyone is in the door to a club, we go to work.

4. Never leave a wingman... i'll never put some random drunk girl above my friends that i've known most of my life.

Sounds good. I don't really have rules I just kind of follow my values.

I make a concious effort to approach guys. Not a lot; maybe a few a night. Small chit chat about how they're doing. I don't care what I'm saying, I just want people to know that I'm not going around sleazing, but that I'm being social.
