Hi there. This is my first time posting here. I was curious if you guys had any advice on two scenarios I'm dealing with over the past 48 hours or so...

1) Was hanging out with a group of friend the other night and a girl he works with. After he left, I was talking to her and got her number and e-mail address, but it was under innocent circumstances (I wanted her to send me a photo she'd taken). I called her the following night and invited her out, but she was otherwise occupied. Totally legitimate, and I took no offense. But what is the best next step that doesn't make me look desperate?

2) Was talking to a group of three girls, one of them devastatingly hot, the other two not so much. Turns out the hot one and the one I initially spoke to are sisters. I failed to adequately make the transition to the hot sister during that first meeting. Now the not-hot one has my number and is obviously interested in me. I haven't acted upon it, and I don't intend to. How do I ditch her and still have a shot at the hot sister? Seinfeld nearly pulled off the Roommate Switch, but it seems to me that the Sister Swap is infinitely more complex. Can it be done and, if so, how?
