(this is email & text related fyi, aside from voicemail messages we have yet to meet)

I'll make it short and sweet as possible.

Hit up a very attractive, cool as all hell chick on a dating site who was looking for "friends". Using some canned lines and some techniques from dave m & deangelo and other forums, I had a really nice banter going from the beginning. I was laying on the cocky funny out the ass and she was eating it up. Had her entering my frame on demand. IOIs out the ass from her, flirty/cocky-funny texts, etc etc. After talking for a week & half she told me i was her favorite person to talk to on there, so we made a date. But that didn't work out. Either she flaked and used a really unique excuse, or it was the real deal.

Then saturday night at her b-day party, she texted me that she wished i was there.

Then I fucked it all up. (newbies, don't do what i did, please)

I felt the oneitis brewing but on monday I tried to set a date for sat. No response. Same deal on tuesday. Wednesday i texted her to meet me at such and such a place. Excuse was car is going in the shop, don't know yet.

So, in the kind of AFC manner you'd probably /yourself just for hearing about, I emailed her under assumption she's bailing, basically saying i like you, it's a shame we aren't going to hang out, and good luck and other stupid shit i'd rather not remember. Just think of it as one ginormous DLV.

To make the long story short about shit after that: she only wants friends, not relationships. She's still receptive to meeting up at some point. And I may have voluntarily entered the friendzone. As it stands now, I'm trying to lay on with the cocky funny but not getting anywhere near the response i had been getting.

I can *feel* my power and value in this communication having been completely sapped. Not cool.

Here's the thing though: am I even in the goddamn friendzone yet? I have yet to even meet this chick. We've communicated via email, texts, and a couple voicemails, that's it. So basically we're working on, what? 10% of the communication spectrum? And I have a Can I still evade the friendzone, lol?

Where the hell do I go from here?
