OK, now that I come to think to put it down in words, and in a sober mind, it seems like I'm just fighting a losing battle.
But anyway. Whenever I see this girl at university or out on a night out she acts... well, pseudo-bitchy. I'm sure its meant to seem bitchy but I also know that if she was wanting to be cruel or actually hurt me she could. Last night she said she just delights in taunting me.

She stole my lighter and refused to give it back until I'd stopped paying attention to her and asking for it back.

I can't decide if it is just mild dislike or if its some kind of IOI or Shit test. I mean, the fact that she gave me the lighter back when I stopped paying attention indicates that she was wanting my attention, but I may just have gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick because I like her.

Opinions, please.

Have you never seen people flirting? If she's stealing your lighter and you think she's cute, there is absolute no problem!!!

A girl that is stealing something in a playful way is trying to get your attention. If she wasn't interested into you she would either be complete indifferent to you or she would bully you. So as long as you didn't spoiled it yesterday you're deff on your way imo.

I agree, she stole it because she wants your attention, not because she doesnt want it.
Next time you see her, give her a lighter and tell her,"i bought u this so you would leave me alone" and then smirk and nudge her playfully
