So I've been talking a little to this girl on IM and its gone pretty good. She thinks I'm funny and was already interested before I think. The thing is I never see her hardly in person. So I'm just wondering if there's some way I can escalate this on IM or get her to hang out with me or something else. We don't know each other all that well so I would find it hard to just ask her to hang out I think. Though maybe thats what I should try and you can give me some advice on how to do it.

I would like some other things I can do though. Its only been a few weeks but I think that she's getting tired of the dancing around and waiting for me to make the next step. I think she was impressed that I IM'd her randomly from finding her screenname on facebook. I'm trying to figure out some way to take it farther. I had a good moment I thought with her in person where I, a little awkwardly, managed to work in a story about my brother having a unicycle and me trying to ride on his shoulders when we were kids.

just man up and ask her to hang out. i don't know how old you are but keep it lite ask her to coffee where you can talk to her face to face and there won't be alot of distraction. and this way you can get her to be comfortable with you and do some lite kino. or you can take her somewhere fun like Dave/Busters or bowling just somewhere that doesn't have to be serious and worry about the date getting boring.

and take charge and tell her where you are going and what time would be good for you two to go out.
