Hi
Ok so i was chatting to this girl i know, she was in a playful mood and touching my arm constantly so i decided to neg her. I said ' don't touch what you can't afford' she replied saying ' I think i have a few pennies.' I was wondering if any one else has experienced any thing similar to this? What should you do to this? does it mean shes not interested? Should i continue negging?

I believe this was a shit test.

You should have said "so it seems you will need a loan" =)

nah man, its natural for them to neg you back. It's definitely a good sign because they don't take the negging personally. Just continue on if you can't think of a comeback.

Negging is essentially teasing so of course it is a good thing when she does it back. It means she has a sense of humor and she is interested :wink:

I find it funny that some people find "negging" to be a new concept.

Seriously, I am a girl and I have always given guys a hard time...sometimes it is just a part of your personality. "Negging" is just a name given to an old concept. Doesn't mean she has read the book.

Thanks for the advice. I shall try this the next time i have this situation. I agree negging is nothing new and that she probs hasnt read the book.

Don't over analyze things. She's just teasing you back. It comes naturally. If this happens then roll with it. She's probably just having fun with you. Otherwise it would've probably been something a bit more harsh for a response. If she had read the book I'm sure she would've come back with something like "Nice Neg" and then rolled her eyes.

Anyway keep up the good work. Just relax and see what happens.
