I have some girlfriends and they are HB5 or 6.. they are very cool people to hang around with.

so, is hanging around with them talking, laughing and having fun a DLV? Or an AFC indicator?

and what about putting pictures with her on my facebook? only one pic from a trip we went on. would that be a DLV?

damn thats a real good question. I would really like to know the answer from someone that is a bit more knowledgeable than I. Especially the first one.

What I've came up with so far is that some HB8+ may think that I'm only good enough for HB6- chicks so she won't be interested in me.

But, on the other hand.. being able to talk to women and express yourself freely having fun while doing so is a DHV.

This is freaking me out.

i would actually consider it a DHV-- shows you're not shallow, and that you're not afraid to interact w/ women
when you see a group of girls hanging out w/ each other.. they're often friends w/ a relatively wide spectrum of people

if someone sees you having fun, thats all that matters.. it rarely matters who its with... of course it doesnt hurt to be seen having fun with an HB9, but it really shouldnt matter

also, don't sell out your friends just to get a girl-- why?.. cuz thats shallow, and it will come back to bite you

I'd tend to think it's not an AFC indicator or DLV. Particularly if you're talking to them and making them all laugh. If you cling to them like they're "base" in a game of tag and can't go open other sets then that will cause you to lose value. But if you walk into a joint with your friends and then instantly start engaging other sets with hotties you'll come off cool and laid back. "Hey, this guy's comfortable enough with himself that he'll talk to and hang with anyone." I very regularly open a set by approaching the nottie. I'll DHV to her, the target will hear and I get bonus points for being able to talk to the HB's friend as well.
