I came up with an opener today, just happened to be going out, gave it a shot... here it is.

Me: Excuse me, does your mom live next to a guy that owns like 7 dogs?

HB: no

Me: O thank god! because she was a real bitch but I didn't want to be rude and pretend not to see you.

Hb: nope, not me.

Continue.

I thought about it, it seems to me like it should do as well as any. maybe it my follow up? suggestions please, I really like this opener seems like she would have to think of her childhood indirectly. And I did dress "mature" to answer any questions before hand.

It's just a very strange question to ask someone and then when you comment on how the person was a bitch and you would have pretended to ignore her, you aren't demonstrating any sort of value. You're trying to connect with her on some higher level with an opener, which isn't the point of an opener. The opener just opens the target/group up for conversation and then you are able to build from there.

Yeah, just too strong, too fast. There is no rapport built there, so your negativity instantly pushes her away and closes her up.

"Bitch" probably gives her the opinion that you tend to talk about women in that manner all the time, which most of us guys do, but not to there faces ofcourse. Next time just try to add a bit of cocky enthusiasm and it will reel them right in and youl be ready to game them.

panic is right, its all about first impression with the opener, if you are a custom to making people laugh, she(they) will see that a mile off, have a read through some of the openers in the lounge, then try some of the cocky funny openers, see how you get on from there
