I hope everyone takes a shower every day, at least once. I find this is a good metaphor because if one has a goal to be clean every day, they have to take a shower. Shower is something physical, tangible and real. We don't talk about reading a book about cleaning, or have a goal setting session about being clean, we actually do something about it by taking a physical action every day which results in us being clean. No ifs and buts about it..
I find to lead a successful life you have to incorporate the same principle as taking a shower. if you want to be physically fit, then going to the gym would be like taking a shower. There are no ifs and buts about it, you just go.
Similarly if money is important then a physical step must be taken to ensure that finances stay on the forefront everyday. This could be checking your online account every day, apart from being at work, or if not at work, maybe working an hour day on a side business. You do the choosing but one has to find a physical activity every day which would enhance one's financial goals or acumen.
Similarly with women, if you want it really bad, make it a habit to go to a public place for an hour and work out everyday.
similarly with mindfulness and personal happiness, maybe 30 mins of meditation everyday is something that one can incorporate in their life.
I bring this because what OP had asked is something what I have gone through as well, a few months ago. especially when you start comparing you life to your siblings or friends on facebook. However, I found that when incorporated these physical daily habits in my life, my confidence, my energy, my happiness has gone up, plus I sometimes don't have time to be thinking about anyone or anything else....
