hey everybody

I just started to learn some pick up and was wondering , do you guys recommend following books , vids , tutorials to the core or gain experience through trial and error.

The reason i am asking was because today i approached my first 5 set(well i approached my first set ) and i used the opinion opener "do guys prefer the good guy or the bad guy" , now everything was going well until i got few shit tests , i came up with some pretty shit responses.

i came up with story that i was asking cus a few of my female friends were dating a-holes

girl : are you a good guy or bad guy
me : im a good guy

and

girl : why are u asking us this (halfway through the convo)
me : i wanted to know if it was beneficial to be a good guy (man i got nervous, i know , lame response)

after that it just felt awkward since well i was getting pretty tense but i was totally confident at the start of the approach , after i felt tense and nervous i just said "anyway i got to go , thanks".

Are there any books or guides on how to handle these situation or do guys just recommend that i just experiment .

what would be a good shit test response , like should it be witty , funny or should it be a neg

Thanks
GamerD
