I succeeded in getting girls number but failed miserably in getting a date out of it.

Getting numbers: 10/10 success

Moving toward a date : 0/10 total failure

advice on how to keep the girl interest would be appreciated

a typical failure is as followed: I follow the 3 days waiting rule before texting and calling but every single time the girl sound like she is not interested at all and then it crashes and burns from there.

That's obviously part of the problem. Waiting three days to call a girl is going to kill your chances unless you did something like save someone's life, just got through signing autographs after your movie premier, or getting voted MVP of your professional sports league when you met her. Point is that you want her to feel seduced and your biggest advantage is keeping her caught up in the moment and not waiting for moments to become memories.

Also, quality girls are hit on every single day. Waiting gives the next guy a chance to beat you to the call.

Then when would be the good time? I came off a needy when I sent texts or calling the girl too soon. That is why I decided to change my tactic into the waiting game.

I find the best approach is let her know up front that you want to go out with her. You can try to get her to go out with you that minute when you meet her if possible. However, you can ask her out for your date during your initial meet...if she says yes, you set your date and time (next couple of days) and get her number just to follow up. Or you can tell her you want her number so you can call/text her about setting up the date (I prefer this).

The point is you are giving her something to look forward to rather than saying "Can I have your number" and leaving it at that.

With the last one, I actually did ask her if she is willing to go on a date in which she quickly replied with a yes. I then proceed to ask for her number and of course I waited for 3 days before texting. During the first couple hours she constantly texting me. The next day, I sent the first text and it just die from there. I waited for a day for her to respond but no answer. So I decided to call her and her voice doesn't sound like she is interested anymore. I even went through all my previous texts to make sure I didn't say things that I shouldn't be and found none.

She responded and you waited until the next day...bad

What you did isn't anything that continues on the original attraction that you created. Instead you acted disinterested which caused her to lose interest. So many of you guys forget that one of the most important parts of seducing a girl is building sexual tension. You can't build tension without communication or something for her to look forward too. You allowed her to go cold and it all started with waiting 3 days.

What do you mean "keep her interested?"

YOU (the cool guy you are) should keep her interested. She should want to see you again.

Anybody think this 3 day rule came about back in the day when people just had landlines? I can see it making sense there for being able to wait 3 days to call

It's unreal the number of guys who think the whole 3-day head game is actually still a thing.

It's folklore from the days of the rotatory dial phone, out of necessity, when it took three days for the poor guy to walk home after the school dance.
