A lot of other users may scream at me for saying this coz its quite a controversial topic with some, but as a beginner you should start by studying the Mystery Method. A lot of it is quite out-dated now and theres a lot of canned material used, however, what it does do is set out a step by step structure which is quite accessible to newbies. At this point it really just sets out the basics for pick up. The more you study it the more you'll realise how you can adapt it to your own life, using your own initiative. It will also familiarise you with the terminology used in the community. I also liked it because it does just tell you what to do, but also why you do things.
As I said, its quite dated, and there's lots of arguements about the usefulness of some of the methods, so dont just learn it and stop there. Once you understand the basics, broaden your learning to other methods and schools of thought, then you can mix and match, use trial and error and find out what works for you. The main lesson to take away from everything is that different things work for different people. If someone tells you a particular method or routine or whatever is bad, dont just believe them straight away - try it for yourself. You'll find, if you continue to use this forum, people can get in quite heated debates over things, but definitely read everyones opinions with an open mind and find what makes sense TO YOU.
And lastly, always remember that pick up isnt something u can learn over night. Dont expect to spend a week reading hundreds of articles and youtube videos and then go out on the saturday night and end up in a 5-way. it takes a lot of practice and self-development. Good luck!
Thanks man, you inspired and also motivated me, I am currently adapting the things I read to my daily life.
