dunno whether this is just happening to me from time to time:
You're having fun with a girl, you're getting all the right vibes and all of a sudden the situation ...STALLS.
It's almost like going COMPLETELY blank - suddenly the whole situation gets very awkward, you're wondering what to say or do next - ALL THE WRONG THINGS. I sometimes find myself thinking that this scenario is potentially always looming over my head which is not exactly conducive to a "fruitful outcome".

Any strategies/tips that could help in such a situation?

My advice is not to really get into your head, that's when shit hits the fan. You have to understand that girls are way better than guys than reading between the lines and sensing more of your frame. If you're panicking in your head she probably senses that. If the conversation stalls just be chill about it, let her initiate something.

Depending on where you're at and what's going on for example if you're at a bar, having drinks with a girl you're having a blast with and it stalls that usually is a sign to make a move.

Another situation if you're in a different environment than a bar let's say at the library for example or at a coffee shop, and it stalls. What i would do is one of three different things depending on what's happening,

1. if i just met this girl and we'd been talking for awhile and it stops, i'd be like "hey i had a blast meeting you, i've got to go though i'm kind of in a hurry, but you should definitely give me your number, and we should grab some drinks this weekend" basically end the whole thing on a high note and then continue it somewhere else, if she responds well and gives you her number, she's interested in you and probably wants to fuck!

2. If it isn't the first time meeting her and it wouldn't make sense to just leave and act like you've got other plans you need to get to, and you are witty enough you can playfully tease her about something, or reignite the conversation into a different topic

3. Or same as number two, You can just hold your ground chill and let her start it. (note: you have to really be able to be alpha about it and not give a fuck that it stalled so that your frame is still good)
