Hi guys, a newbie here. Yesterday, my roommate invited his friend over who brought with him two girls and as we were chatting this girl was standing even though there was a chair unoccupied. As my friend started telling her to sit down on the chair i cut him short and invited her to sit alongside me on the bed. She complied and we started making introductions, which region she came from, yada yada.

Then out of the blue, i said her eyes are very beautiful and she smiled and thanked me. Then she asked me for my wechat id which i gave her ( i thought of teasing her, holding back on it but decided against it) and messaged her "hi" with a heart sign alongside to which she smiled in response... and after some more talk i got up and said i have to go get some stuff from the store downstairs and asked her if she wanted to tag along. She said ok and at this point her friends were laughing... as we got up on the lift i started kino-testing her by giving out my hand. She refused but later told me she was very lucky having me as a "friend" which i took as an IOI.

My problem was I didn't talk much with her friends, I thought of saying something but was always stuck as to what to say to her friends!!(god help me.)

She/they is/are chinese and i am a nepalese and I had a million things running through my mind as to what to say to them but I always was stuck as i had to repeat what i was saying in many different ways before they understood it as their english was poor, as they themselves said.
As they started leaving, she said she would love to "play" with me on the weekends when she is not having classes.

So my question is should i ask her out? I number-closed her too but I am hesitant on calling her because of our language barrier (at least she can translate what i am saying on wechat). How do I progress from here on? Also i am new to this country and should i maybe ask her to take me out on a nice restaurant, the cost of which i will make clear to her i wont pay for in full but halve between us?

Can I ask how you plan to communicate with her if you get her out? If there's a severe language issue that she requires a chat translator for? (I can't actually tell how much english she speaks from your post).

Like - a sex buddy might be a more realistic option, if the mutual attraction is there.

If you do move forward with that date idea, I wouldn't point out "in advance" who's going to pay... If you ask her out don't be cheap and cockblock yourself. Pay for her.

She understands english reasonably and can even decently speak it, but I still think calling is only going to put us in an awkward situation...
Also your point about not being cheap is duly noted.
