Bartenders and waitstaff getting in my way

Hopefully someone here has been in this position.
When I go to bars, I become friendly with the bartenders/waitstaff. After a few times of going to the same place they end remembering me, and we shoot the shit. It seems though this is a problem because if they see me talking to a girl they give the girl I'm speaking to a death stare. It happens so many times, it pisses me off.
This one particular waitress, tells me don't get drunk, and she makes me weak drinks, I might be dancing w some girl and this waitress gives any girl a dirty look.

That's very strange. It is usually good to have social proof in the venues. Have you tried introducing the girls to the staff ?
