The reason I'm posting this in the "General Questions" section is because I'm asking about lairs in general. It seems that the "PUA Lairs" sections is asking about/promoting specific lairs and I don't feel I would get the information I'm looking for in there.
If any moderators still feel that this is in the wrong section I will gladly delete this.

I am interested in starting a lair because there isn't one in my city. I've never been a part of one but I feel that there is no better way of getting like minded guys together so we can learn from each other and help each other reach our goals. All my friends and acquaintances are now married, almost married, or might as well be married. So I have nobody to share my PUA knowledge with(locally), and nobody to wing for or to wing for me.

So my questions are:
How do I start a lair?
Where do lairs usually meet?
How are "meetings" structured?
Does one person lead the meetings or is it a group discussion? Or a little of both?

Any information or advice anybody can give me would be greatly appreciated!

How do I start a lair? -- First off, come up with another name for the group but its basically a lair. Find people who are like minded trying to meet women and like the techniques used. You might find some on here, some out in public, or people you meet while out. Believe me if you go out enough you'll meet a fair share of guys huddled by the wall wishing they were approaching.

Where do lairs usually meet? -- I've been to a few lair meetings here and there over the years when I started out. We met in people's homes who had a setup for guys to hang out. We've had lair guys speak on basic points or winging. We had instructors come in to speak and let them pitch their product as well. Before going out for the night we met at a restaurant like a Chili's or something to talk and get to know each other some before heading out on the town. When I instructed we used meeting rooms that could be rented out at a local campus or hotel.

I would advise not meeting in public to discuss strategy and stuff it only causes issues. Its one thing if you can get some privacy in a place but its another thing when 12 guys in the local Friday's are sitting around using PUA terms left and right, it gets a little weird, and you'll get some looks.

How are "meetings" structured? -- It isn't like PUA have parliamentary procedures. Each meeting can be structured however you want. Keep in mind people are coming to this thing so give them a reason to attend. What's in it for me? What would I drive to some dudes house I don't know for? Split a pizza and talk game, strategy for winging each other, etc. It doesn't have to be very formal at first.

One last piece of advise I'd give is to keep it consistent on your meet up times. Pick a day every month like every third Thursday or something and keep it consistent. This makes it easy for guys to be able to tell other people about the group and when to meet. An internal Facebook group is a good idea as well. A lot of lairs fail cause there is no consistency in when and where people meet. If you are going to commit to having an active lair it takes some work.

Good luck on starting your LAIR aka -- Men's group, Study group, Club, etc. Keep it simple, make some friends, and have fun.
