I am, well, let's face it, a nerd. I am not very into clubbing, I like science fiction, use glasses, all that. Not fat ass star trek t-shirt living in my parent's basement kind of nerd, I am fit, like to be outdoors and dress business casual. But anyone who knows me knows I am a nerd.

Now, this is a girl from my old work. We were very close back then (got a few posts about her), I tried to game her but lost her to another guy. This other guy was alpha as fuck, military guy, tattoos, big muscles, all that. I left that job but kept in touch with the girl. Some texting, the ocasional coffee. Some 2 or 3 months ago they broke up, the girl was a wreck and told me she had no desire to date anyone at the moment, so things remained the same.

Recently, she sent me a link to an article titled "the advantages of dating a nerd" with the message "worth reading". Also, she posts lots of those pictures with sentences on facebook, usually the same old "people let us down", "I want to be happy", etc, but one that read something like "the more beautiful men I know the more I want to stay single" caught my eye.

After reading here that girls who are betrayed sometimes turn to betas I decided to give it a go and escalate some more the last time we hanged out. Before she had some mixed reactions to my kino, now she did not put up a fight. I was constantly placing my hand on her lower back and arm (which she used to pull away from), put my arm around her shoulder to indicate something on the horizon, patted her leg, and she did not put up a fight. Is she turning my way or am I reading too much into it? How do I escalate?

Anyone whose FB wall is littered with inspirational messages and uplifting quotes is bat shit, full-bore crazy.

For what it's worth, I think you should step up your game and straight up ask her out for a drink. Escalate when you're out.

Better would be inviting her over for a movie and dinner. Much easier to escalate.

Dude.... you're just a rebound to this chick. The bad boy broke her heart (again) and now she's considering going for a softer guy. Either she will A.) walk all over you and treat you like her puppy or B.) go out with you and be with you for a few months... then bring the new "bad boy" over to your house and fuck her in your bed while you watch.

Date girls with a similar personality type to you. Bad bitches are not going to be your type if you're a weak framed guy.

On the other hand... maybe getting fucked over and hurt a few times will toughen you up so you'll know how to handle a chick like that.
