I've been speaking a bit to a HB8 at uni. She was very blunt when I messaged her the other night on snapchat however after seeing me in the gym must have told her friend I looked hot.


I sent her a message in snapchat messenger saying "you're coming to yoga with me next week" She replied

"No I'm not"

I then said "have you got much planned this weekend then?"

Then she said

"Yeah I'm really busy this weekend!"

I just said "fair maan, have fun!"

I bumped into her in the gym two days later whilst in my Golds vest. I got a snapchat from her friend of the girl that night saying "HB8 said you looked good in the gym x" HB8 was embarrassed hiding behind her hand in the photo. I replied

"Thanks but I have a wife and kids..."

She replied with another picture of the HB8 unaware saying
"Is the wife HB8?"

I replied a while later "Not that I know of..."

I didn't get a reply but I know they were on a night out.

What shall I do to escalate this relationship? This girl has a boyfriend but lives about 30miles away.

I don't understand.

I read that a couple times.

Maybe I just need another coffee?

What's with the wife and kids line... This makes no sense.

My wife is half of a toaster and our child is a fishstick. Also there's some banana pudding.

Have you sent her pictures of the mushroom tip?

Haha I was just trying to be playful... I think they got it. I'm probably going to see her tomorrow in a lecture.

What do you suggest I do? I can't ask her out (as mentioned above, however I can't go out with them as a group either as I don't drink due to bodybuilding etc.)

Ok - well forgetting the fact that I really don't understand the entire first interaction you detailed here (seriously... re-read it. I don't get it)... I think there's nothing wrong with asking her out and escalating if you're into her.

Ignore the boyfriend possibility. He may or may not be real anyway.

If you don't drink, get a coffee with her. If you position it as just a casual coffee and not a date it probably won't trigger her to play the boyfriend defense.
