I was seeing this girl for about 8 months, couldn't fault her at all but then my ex of two years shown up and from there on being the stupid guy I am I got back with her and left this 'fling' in the cowardly way of 'let's just stay friends bla bla bla. Now out of that relationship with my ex after it ending horribly, I've been thinking about this other girl a bit, and was wondering on the best way to go about speaking to her again?
I live in a small town so i see her out in clubs quite often but don't really speak to her when I see her. I've got things to say to her like 'reminisce' about old times and stuff but I think I need to speak via text first is this right? How do I start it off?

Just theorycrafting here, I'd like to get some confirmation as well on this, but my opinion is:

Since it's so easy to meet her in clubs and you are already friends, it should be of no issue for you to talk to her. Also using kino on her should as well be no issue(I mean, you are friends, why would she be mad at it?). Then you should keep escalating until...well, something happens. I guess

I wouldn't say we are friends, I'd say it's kind of awkward because of what happened but we are polite and say hello but nothing more than that. If I could get past the first moment I would be okay but that's the thing.

Again, don't take my response for granted. I'm pretty inexperienced with women myself, I'm more of a theory guy. If you say it's hard to get past a hello, maybe a night out with friends at clubs? If that doesn't work you can always do a hard reset(get out of her life for a couple months, then come back and approach pretty much like you would a stranger).

You kinda messed up with the breakup mate. Just try to escalate and see what happens.
