But are there any other verbal ways to say you don't have much time to chat aside "I got to get back to my friends here soon". I simply just feel uncomfortable saying this when I am in fact attending the revenue alone. I can be deceptive but dishonest is not in my nature.

My favorite is to look around and say that "I think I'll go say hi to those people." See if she wants to come, then if not head off and open people where she can see you.
I don't like FTCs at all. They are dishonest and therefore lame.

I usually start off the conversation with "I can only stay a second" or "quick question."
Body language is also a good tool in indicating you don't have a lot of time. Sometimes the false walk away is a good way to indicate your indifference.

Also, time restraints are a really weird concept that I don't buy into. But if you have to walk away from a chick or want to work the venue more, just say "hey I'll find you later, I need to step away for a minute." Then you can just send a text. Everyone's on their phones all the time so the idea that you had to send your friend an address for the bar or ask your sister how her job interview went isn't unreasonable. _________________ These hos ain't loyal
