Got drunk on a night out I was supposed to be with a girl I was seeing(She cancelled). Ended up texting her to get her out. I messaged her early enough in the night but I was hammered so came across as needy telling her how she missed out not coming out with me. Anyway, I sent the messages early enough and didn't message her again for the rest of the night.

I basically said I would have scored her on front of everyone(She's really insecure and self-conscious) and I didn't care(Bad, dickish move). I told her she missed out not being in my company(Dick move #2) and that she owed me for not going out. Basically I was a wanker but in my drunken state I thought I was 1. Conveying that she was attractive and shouldn't be insecure/self-conscious. 2. It would have been a night for us both to enjoy and 3. Drunkenly tried to tease her about not coming out... Didn't go so well, unfortunately.

Anyway, this happened a couple of days ago and she sent me a message back saying she thinks i'm looking for a woman that's totally different to her(Someone who parties a lot). I replied thinking she had ended it saying "It's cool but I think you misunderstood me but whatever! If you want to meet up that's cool if not I won't hold it against you." I later realised that she just meant she doesn't like going out.

How do I fix this? I feel like i'm too close and thinking way too much about this to follow my own advice on the matter. Should I ask her out for something more date orientated or should I just leave it?

Forget the drunken messages. I'd even forget your replies after the fact... Your next message to her should be asking if she'd like to do something low-key and quiet.

Movie on the couch followed by a lot of sex... for example (without mentioning the sex).

Pretend it didn't happen.

She'll probably mention it. Just say you were only playing around. A night in sounds wonderful and you'll even make her dinner.

Earlier I sent her a message saying I was sorry about it all. She said it was fine so I just did as you suggested and asked her out for something low-key. She's seen it but hasn't replied. She's either making me wait or going to ignore me I guess... :/

Yeah, fuck it. Knew that's what I needed to do but in situations like this you overthink... Well shit. Only thing left to do is save face but i'm kind of pissed off at the situation which is a good thing I feel.
