New research is being done on people with autism that suggests that autistic people have a problem with MIRRORING, a widely known subject in PUA. Mirroring neurons, also known as "money see monkey do" neurons, are neurons that fire when you observe someone performing a behavior, and activate your brain in ways as if you were performing the behavior you are observing. This usually happens subconsciously with people who's neurons operate normally, allowing for people to connect with each other "naturally", as we autistic people observe but seem unable to do.

Its a very interesting article, with implications related to PUA material. No one outside of the community is going to talk about its relations to PUA, so if any good is going to come of this, it will have to be developed in discussion in the community. If anyone has any thoughts about mirroring as it relates here, please share it.
