first post here, I hope I got the forum section right.

Last night I was in a party. I was working on a set and at some point the girl I was targeting goes to the toilette. When she was gone, another girl comes close to me dancing looking at me all the time. The friend of the girl in the toilette was there and so I decided to not do anything. However, I don't think that's the right choice.

Overall, it was a very good night. I didn't have to do a lot to get girls coming to me or looking strongly at me. So, I am a bit annoyed with myself that I was sticking with only 1 the whole night.

In fact, what often happens to me is that I stick to 1 successful set at a party all night. I am not living in a very big city (~1M) and usually you just go to 1 party per night. I am struggling to find a way to leave my successful set in a good way, getting a number, and go to the next one. What I am trying to avoid is looking like the guy that throws himself at all the women in the club.

Before anybody comes up saying that I should kiss or f* close a girl from a successful set the same night. Please, understand this doesn't always work here or for me. Usually the girl is with 1 friend and she wont leave her or she is too shy to start making up with a guy. I find it much easier to just follow up a good first meeting with a couple of "dates" (go for a walk, a swim, coffee, definitely not dinners) and by the 2nd or 3rd I either close or I stop trying.

Sounds to me that the girls are coming onto you. I would say let it happen. Jealousy is a powerful tool, just don't implode it by making out with other girls.

Most people think that talking to another girl is like cheating in some kind of way but sometimes is the key to getting laid.

Have you ever had a good chat with a girl that you like , and then next minute, you see her talking to some better looking guy and you feel really chodey and jealous?

Its powerful when you do this to girls. However, I don't recommend approaching girls to make them jealous. Just let it happen organically.

I actually saw a friend bringing his date with us and anyway talking to lots of girls (on the street and in the club). By the end of the night he was making out with his date.

I understand the underlying reason of this type of strategy, which is jealousy, but also DHV I think, I am just not sure how to play it.

As you said, probably it has to look like some kind of flow, the moment this looks forced you loose.
