Hey bud. I'm a practicing Buddhist and as far as I know, he was born in either northern India or somewhere in Nepal. But this question is ultimately unimportant and unnecessary, as it does nothing for your self-improvement, happiness or spiritual state :)

He was born in Lumbini, although the exact location is unknown it is somewhere in the Uttar Pradesh bordering Nepal.
