Imagine the PUA is an 8.5 on the face, 6ft 190lbs no fat, and everything else like posture, tone, and poise is pretty good without a hint of nervousness, except the dress is shitty. Targets are the best available in the setting, say even 7.5 to maybe 9.0

For my part of this discussion, I'm a bit arrogant and I get blown out in these situations pretty randomly even accounting for the married and the attached. The randomness is what's so interesting. Usual set-up is pretty direct and measured:

What works for me is to dress slightly better than my target demographics (not too extreme, just slightly better).

There are exceptions of course. You can in fact dress down and the vibe will get you through. I once picked up the daughter of a scented candle manufacturer in a pricey coffee shop near a bank. I wore old faded jeans with a couple of holes in them. I wore an old, dirty Chuck Taylor. I had a 4-day stubble. I had a month long unkempt hair.

My pick up line was, "I want to bang your pussy real hard and fast right now."

I think the non-verbals got me through rather than the verbals. The girl was a fatty; but she had lots of cash, if you know what I mean.
